Stonington Maine Harbor Rainbow
Stonington Maine Harbor Rainbow was taken during a late summer afternoon in the Town of Stonington, Maine.
Stonington Maine Harbor Rainbow captures the calm beauty of the Stonington, Maine Harbor. An afternoon walk around the harbor is an excellent way to end a day in Stonington, Maine.
Stonington, Maine is located on the southern portion of Deer Isle along the coast of Maine. It is a picturesque seaport on Penobscot Bay. It is the ferry port that services boats that will take visitors out to Isle au Haut in Acadia National Park.
Lobster fishing is one of the main activities of the harbor in Stonington, Maine. In the Stonington Maine Harbor Rainbow the town seems quiet, and it is a quiet and quaint town. In the early morning though before dawn the activity is much busier with fisherman boarding their boats to begin the day of fishing for lobster.
This particular afternoon a storm dropped a few drops of rain. But not enough to keep one indoors. Instead a walk around the harbor was done. As the sun began to go low in the horizon a rainbow appeared in the distance above the town. And the Stonington Maine Harbor Rainbow photograph was made.
